The story of Cementcal is entwined with the story of Israel. Originated as Cementation, a British infrastructure plant, the company engaged in the infrastructure development of Jewish Settlements, which officially emerged to the State of Israel in 1948.
A History of groundbreaking engineering equipment:
During its vast expansion and growth, Cementcal acquired an advanced set of tools and engineering equipment to ensure unique and optimal solutions for each customer and any geotechnical challenge. Cementcal was the first company in Israel to introduce CFA and Slurry machines to Israel, anchor and drilling machines able to penetrate 18, 25 and 35 meters deep, five hydromel machines that drill to a depth of 150 meters, and more. These technologies created a turning point in the nation’s construction work.
A History of People:
Cementcal’s outstanding people are the foundation of its pioneering geo-technical infrastructure operations. Our talented professionals – engineers, managers and administration teams, provide unique and creative solutions for versatile, complex challenges in the mega- projects we lead.
Value driven for a promising future:
Cementcal’s long-standing reputation as Israel’s leading company for complex geo-technical infrastructure solutions align with our fundamental values of quality, professionalism, thoroughness, safety and engineering innovation. In every mega-project we lead, we operate in light of these values, to provide Israel and its residents first-rate national infrastructures, suited to constantly changing needs.
The 60’s
In the late 1960’s, after being exposed to the threat of boycott by Arab countries, Cementation shut down it’s operations in Israel. These events led Cementation’s workers to unite in 1967 and to co-found Cementcal: Israel’s first independent infrastructure company, specializing in pile structuring techniques.
The 80's
In the 1980s, Cementcal began to develop its innovative mindset after purchasing the very first Stone-Drilling Micropyle Machine in Israel. This technique, which was considered groundbreaking at the time, enabled the company to drill deeper and improve work efficiency. This established Cementcal’s well-deserved reputation as an innovative leader in the infrastructure industry.
The 90’s
During the 90’s, Cementcal continued to introduce and apply innovative technologies to their work, while leading National large-scale infrastructure projects, such as:
- Slurry operations while establishing Israel’s Hadera Power Plant
- Massive excavation and groundwater pumping in the building of Israel’s Opera House
- Construction Jet-Grout work within a pumping system designed to carry water from the Sea of Galilee to Israel’s National Water Carrier
- Infrastructure and bridging work for major National Transportation Routes, including: Ayalon Highways along with LaGuardia, Haganah, Ha-Tzanhanim and Ha-Halacha bridges.
The Millennium
In 2002, Cementcal was acquired by Solel-Boneh Group, Israel’s leading construction and infrastructure group. As Sollel Boneh’s Operating Division, Cementcal began to apply state-of-the-art technologies and engineering solutions while leading National Mega-Projects, such as:
