Meet Parvez Yosefi, an Engineer at Cementcal, who led the MDA Blood Bank Project in Ramla

“The Blood Bank in Ramla is the first underground blood bank in the world, part of MDA – Magen David Adom  – Israel’s national organization for emergency pre-hospital medical care and blood services. As such, it incorporates MDA’s complex national blood and logistics services, blood storage facilities and innovative and protected laboratories.

Our important mission was to prepare the ground for the safe construction of the Blood Bank, and to build an Electricity and Communications infrastructure, while digging 5 acres of slurry walls to anchor the ground and the subsoil.

Our biggest challenge was the need to evacuate large quantities of waste within a tight schedule and strict working regulations. Thanks to our team spirit and dedication, we successfully brought the mission to the finish line.

I’m humbled and grateful for the opportunity Cementcal has given me to lead such a groundbreaking national project, that serves such an important purpose: to donate blood, and to save lives.”
